Los – Angeles to Mazatlan, Mexico from $309
Mazatlan is a popular and inexpensive Mexican resort on the Pacific coast, where you can make a trip from March 9th till March 16th with the American Airlines for only $309 round-trip. The time from November until May is the best season for a beach holiday in Mexico.
The town was founded in the 16th century, and tourism began to develop in the 1950s. A large group of German immigrants arrived here in the 19th century, and later Mazatlan became a thriving port. There are still many German traditions preserved here, including excellent breweries.
Today Mazatlan is called the Pearl of the Pacific Ocean, and tourists come here to enjoy the warm climate, sandy beaches stretched for 17km within the city, the architecture of the Old Town, and, of course, delicious cuisine with lots of seafood.
Among the local sights are the 19th century Cathedral, the atmospheric Plaza Machado with street artist and musicians and lots of merchants, the Peralta Angel Theater next to the square, 17km Malekon embankment, and one of the largest aquariums in Mexico.
The most popular beaches in Mazatlan are the Playa Olas Atlas, Playa Bruja, and beaches of the Isla de las Piedras. They all are suitable for surfing and snorkeling. Mazatlan is most visited by American and Canadian tourists during the Christmas holiday.
Atlanta – Aruba from $207
For a super cheap price you can make a wonderful trip to the amazing island of Aruba on March 13 -20. This little island called Carribean Holland is located near Venezuela and is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The capital of the island is city Oranjestad, and there are also small towns like Sint – Nicholas and Santa Cruz.
The capital is a very picturesque city with quarters of old Dutch architecture, museums, park of the Queen Wilhelmina, and St Anna neogothic Cathedral. In Sint -Nicholas there is a beautiful chapel called the Grotto of Lourdes – this is a natural grotto, which is a home for the statue of Virgin Mary.
Between Oranjestad and Sint – Nicholas is situated Ariroc National Park. The temperature here is always around +25 -28C, which makes it ideal to visit the island any time of the year, maybe except October and November, when is a rainy season. There are almost no hurricanes on the island as they follow a different trajectory.
The island is quite windy and is ideal for windsurfing, but most tourists fly here for a beach holiday, and this is not surprising. The island is full of paradise beaches with white sand and turquoise water -the Palm beach, the Eagle beach and the Flamingo beach.
You can make an excursion to the Flamingo beach, although it is quite expensive and costs $99. It is because the beach is situated on an island owned by the Renaissance hotel, and it is free only for its residents. The price includes a ferry, which is less than 10 minutes one way.
Another option is to take a boat trip with the 3 stops for snorkeling, which costs $50-60, and it is an afternoon trip. The boat is equipped with everything for snorkeling and it has a bar on board.
Aruba is very safe and has excellent tap water. There are hundreds of hotels and hostels on the island for every taste and budget. Since we specialize on a budget travels, there are a good offers on Booking.com – the Aruba Harmony Hostel for $121 per 7 nights.
The island is a paradise for shopping because it is a duty-free zone, therefore you can buy famous brands here much cheaper than it costs in Europe or in the USA.
London – Budapest from $27
There is an awesome offer from London Stansted to Budapest, Hungary for ridiculous low price of $27 available on March. The dates are March 8 -12. Budapest is one of the most picturesque Easter European capitals with a rich history and culture.
The city is insanely beautiful – you can walk along its streets for hours, enjoying the magnificent architecture and cozy streets. The most exciting will be a walk along the Danube embankment, which offers stunning views on both sides of the river – Buda and Pest, two parts of Budapest.
I have been to Budapest three times and I always want to come back. The town is known not only as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, but also as a famous spa resort. Since the time of the Roman Empire there have been a huge number of baths, which exist to the present days, and the oldest one is Rudas.
The most famous and touristy are Szechenyi baths – a huge complex of different swimming pools located inside and outdoor of the luxurious building and large number of different type of the saunas, that makes this place a real paradise for a spa lovers.
A ticket to the Szechenyi baths cost €15, and the time is not limited, so you can stay there the whole day:) I highly recommend visiting Szechenyi baths and Rudas – these places are undoubtedly the best in Budapest.
The town is overloaded with various attractions – first of all the landmark of Budapest is the Parliament building, the Cathedral, the Opera House, the Gellert baths, the Castle hill and much more. Four days will not be enough to visit them all.
Budapest is a relatively inexpensive city, and you can find very affordable accommodations to rent. I really enjoy renting an apartment in Budapest, and it is the best way to feel like a local. There is a unique offers on Booking now to stay four night at the famous Art -Nouveau -style Gellert Hotel for $134. The building is connected with the Gellert spa, and all guests will have a discount for spa.
London Luton – Madeira from $60
It is hard to believe that so many airlines reduce their prices to attract passengers during this pandemic. On March 23- 30 you can make an amazing trip to Madeira, Portugal for $60 round -trip. It is unbelievable!
Madeira is called the island of eternal spring, and this is not surprising, because the island blooms all year round, there is no heat, and the temperature is always varies between +20-25 C. There are no white -sand beaches here, because the island was formed during a volcanic eruption, but there are stunning mountains with a spectacular view on the ocean.
Madeira is a relatively small island, and therefore you can see the Atlantic ocean from any cliff. This is a paradise for a hiking lovers – you can go on your own or with a tour guide. In general the best way to see Madeira is renting a car at the airport, which is a local attraction by itself.
For those who like a beach holiday, Madeira is probably not the best place, but there are a few options as well – you can swim at the natural pools of Porto – Monis, a unique naturally formed pools, where you can swim a few meters from the raging ocean and enjoy this stunning view, or you can take a ferry and head to Porto -Santo island, where there is a 7,5 km long sandy beach.
The capital of Madeira is Funshal – a compact city to see it in one day. This is a very picturesque city with amazing architecture, colorful market with variety of fresh tropical fruit, fish and spices, and the red roofs. Among the popular things to do in Funchal is so -called “toboggan ride”.
This is a 2 km and 10 minute ride from the top of the hill with a sledge propelled by two men in white clothes. This reminds American roller coaster and costs €25 per person. Another important thing to try in Madeira is to taste and by a local wine called Madera.
You can rent the amazing Quinta da Colina one – bedroom house with mountain and ocean view for €135 per seven nights on Booking!!! And don’t forget about the AirBnb as well!
